Holistic Alchemy with Beth Lewis | Ep. 14
My guest on this episode of The True North Show is a beautiful friend of mine who is also my business partner, a major sponsor of this show and someone who isn’t a stranger to being on a TV show with me. Beth and I discuss how important breathwork is when it comes to calming our nervous system and she shares her journey on how it all started and how, at times, she just needs to take “one breath at a time”.
Bio:
Beth Lewis is “The Holistic Alchemist” and Founder of MYnd CENTRE, where she integrates science and soul to empower Mums and families so they can heal at a cellular level – creating lives of freedom, vitality, and deep connection.
At MYnd CENTRE, Beth creates a safe and supportive space for deep healing, drawing on her own journey of overcoming life’s challenges.
Her holistic approach weaves together Breathwork, Sound Healing, Reiki, Life & Wellness Coaching, and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), to release trauma stored in the body, dissolve limiting beliefs, and nurture overall wellbeing, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
By helping individuals regulate their nervous system, reduce cortisol levels, and reconnect with their inner child, she guides them toward living calmer, more grounded, and present lives.
With Beth’s patient guidance, her clients can: heal their inner child and rediscover their sense of purpose; improve self-esteem and regain control of their lives; replace feelings of anger and resentment with meaningful connections; clear “Brain Fog” for heightened clarity; and reduce stress and enhance energy levels.
Unlike traditional therapists, Beth’s intuitive style and unique methods offer transformative experiences that help others reclaim their personal power.

Beth Lewis (01:56):
Thank you. I’m so excited to be here.
Megan (01:59):
I’m really grateful to have you back. I know our conversation is going to go deep.
Beth (02:05):
No doubt — that’s how we roll.
Megan (02:13):
Firstly, can you share what you’ve been up to since we last spoke about a year ago?
Beth (02:21):
I can’t believe it’s been a year — it’s late August 2025 and that blows my mind. I’ve been on a massive personal and professional journey… [continues with giving up alcohol, integrative doctor, hormone balance, and deepening into breathwork, sound healing, and Reiki].
Megan (05:46):
When oestrogen levels are high, does that typically trigger anger?
Beth (05:56):
When hormones are out of balance — oestrogen, testosterone, progesterone — we’re out of balance… [explains hormone cycles, integrative doctors, holistic medicine].
Megan (07:25):
It must have been validating to hear that your practices are working.
Beth (08:04):
So validating, absolutely. Shout-out to all parents, especially single mums… [talks about rituals, feeling emotions, validation].
Megan (09:38):
Because we work in energy healing, it’s easy to think “I shouldn’t feel like this”…
Beth (10:34):
Exactly. My journey leaving corporate after 21 years was full of burnout, exhaustion, and triggers… [discusses “feel it to heal it,” surrender, presence, Abraham Hicks’ emotional scale].
Megan (14:11):
No one else is keeping score — just us.
Beth (14:38):
I love when we’ve said something so often that others mirror it back… [shares her son’s language reframe moment].
Megan (16:16):
Do you want to speak to your passion and purpose now — especially breathwork and sound healing?
Beth (16:46):
Perfect. Quick backstory: I struggled mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually from a young age… [explains corporate career, chronic pain, psychoneuroimmunology, first breathwork experiences, certifications, and client results].
Megan (23:28):
I just got chills, wow.
Beth (23:32):
Absolutely incredible, right? One client told me, “I have never felt this safe in my own body”… [continues with transformational stories and adding sound healing].
Megan (26:43):
This work isn’t easy, which is why some people prefer a pill or to ignore it.
Beth (28:06):
Absolutely. Some have quantum shifts, others with severe trauma need more time… [honours those struggling, shares her own chronic pain journey, role of breathwork, nutrition, diaphragm training, sleep, and toxicity].
Megan (35:00):
Just booking the session is already three-quarters of the way there.
Beth (36:15):
Yes. Even admitting you need help is a step… [shares story of a client wanting her whole healing mapped, surrender, NLP, and timeline therapy breakthroughs].
Megan (40:15):
Sometimes it doesn’t even need to be healed — just recognised.
Beth (40:34):
Exactly. Awareness alone can shift patterns… [quotes Peter Crone, talks about nervous system regulation and how calm can initially feel “wrong”].
Megan (43:10):
Anxiety has gone up post-COVID.
Beth (43:11):
Yes, studies show it’s increased 25%… [discusses trauma, gut health, holistic healing, breath as a free tool].
Megan (44:29):
I try to get bored on weekends — it empties my brain.
Beth (46:56):
Our body needs that. I tell my son it’s okay to feel bored… [explains pondering vs meditation, resting, avoiding overstimulation].
Megan (50:22):
We’re nearly out of time. Final question: what’s one lesson or truth you wish you’d known earlier?
Beth (50:46):
It’s simple: it’s all connected. Regulate your nervous system, heal your gut, fuel yourself with beautiful things, and your life changes.
Megan (51:29):
That’s really beautiful. Thank you so much for joining us today.
Beth (51:53):
Thank you for having me.
Megan (52:10):
Even though we speak almost daily, I still learned something new. Thank you for being so open and inspiring.
