Why You Feel Lost (Even When Life Looks Good)

Why You Feel Lost (Even When Life Looks Good): The Call of Your Soul’s Purpose

There was a time in my life when everything looked right. I had the job, the relationships, the achievements. On paper, it was all going well. But inside, I felt disconnected. I kept thinking, “Is this it?”—and quietly wondered why, despite the outward success, I felt so unfulfilled.

That’s when I started to understand the deeper truth: feeling lost isn’t failure—it’s your soul trying to get your attention. It’s a sacred signal that it’s time to reconnect with your True North—your soul’s purpose.

Why Success Alone Doesn’t Equal Fulfilment

We live in a world that rewards us for productivity, titles, and checking off boxes. But the truth is, external success only brings lasting fulfilment when it’s in alignment with who we really are.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

  1. Success that’s not rooted in purpose feels empty and boring.
  2. When you ignore your inner voice, it only grows louder and more persistent.
  3. Feeling lost is often the beginning of a spiritual awakening.

So if you’ve ever looked around at your “good life” and thought, Why do I still feel off?, it doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re being called inward.

The Real Meaning of Feeling Lost

That unsettled feeling, that quiet ache or restlessness, it’s not something to fix or push away. It’s your soul inviting you to pause, reflect, and realign.

In my own experience (and with the women and men I’ve coached), the moment you stop judging yourself for feeling lost, and start getting curious about it, that’s when everything starts to shift.

When we feel lost, it’s often because:

  1. We’ve strayed from our core values.
  2. We’ve outgrown a life that no longer fits.
  3. We’re listening to the world instead of ourselves.
  4. We’re craving meaning and connection over performance.

And most importantly, because our soul is ready for more.

The Call of Your Soul’s Purpose

Your soul’s purpose isn’t always loud. It often starts as a whisper. A quiet nudge. A knowing that there’s more meant for you.

When I stopped running from that feeling and chose to lean in instead, I started to come home to myself. I stopped chasing what wasn’t mine and began building a life that felt like mine.

That’s what I want for you, too.

When you align with your soul’s purpose:

  1. You wake up with clarity and intention.
  2. Your work becomes meaningful, not just a means to an end.
  3. You feel deeply connected to yourself.
  4. You trust your intuition and decisions.
  5. Life feels expansive instead of exhausting.

What You Can Do If You’re Feeling Lost

If you’re in that space right now, here’s what I encourage you to do:

  1. Get quiet. Even a few minutes a day to check in with yourself can reveal so much.
  2. Journal freely. Ask yourself: What feels out of alignment? What am I craving more of?
  3. Let go of the “shoulds.” Release the pressure to keep performing if it’s draining you.
  4. Give yourself permission to begin again. You don’t need to burn it all down. You just need to start listening.

You’re Not Lost—You’re Being Called
